I just upgraded from DCU 5.5.1 to 5.6.1 on Windows 7 Pro (32bit) and Windows 10 Pro x64.

Installed smoothly using S-SW162 as the volume label on a thumb drive. Starts and runs in browser mode with no problems. However after switching to laboratory mode the raw image does not display (image window remains blank with background color). The values change in the histogram when I move the sampling tool so DCU has something there, it just doesn't display. These were PEFs from my K10D, which display fine in 5.5.1. I downgraded to 5.5.1 on Windows 7. I have some DNGs from a K-1 that I'll try on Windows 10 and DCU 5.6.1. It may not like the older PEFs.

Edit: Switching over to Win10 I find DNG files from a K-1 display correctly in the laboratory mode. If any one can test a contemporary PEF from either a K-1 or K-70 the results would be most informative. It would be a kick in the pants if DCU doesn't support PEF properly. I can live with 5.6.1 not supporting older versions, just use 5.5.1 or early as long as it runs under whatever version of Windows you may be on.

A bit off topic, but I don't have a cd reader on my pc, is there a way to install the software without it?
