Fujifilm Launched its Film Simulation Page

Fujifilm launched the film simulation website which was mentioned during the launch event the other day and I find it a bit disappointing. The website which you can check out here simply describes all the film simulations on the market and the options for them when a more useful website could have been designed.

Fujifilm should have shot a variety of stock photos using all the film simulations so they could show the impact that changing simulations have on scenes. It wouldn’t have been hard with RAW files and Fujifilm would know best how to show the difference. Sure some of the photos would look bad, but the point of the site would be to help teach photographers when a film simulation is and is not appropriate.

Laowa Nanomorph Zoom X-Mount Adapter Now Available

Venus Optics released an X-Mount for its Laowa Nanomorph Zoom lenses. The lens mount looks pretty easy to change out in the video below and it works with the Nanomorph 28-55 and 50-100mm compact zooms.

The GFX100S II is equipped with a newly developed 102MP high-speed sensor, the “GFX 102MP CMOS II,” and the latest high-speed image processing engine, the “X-Processor 5,” all housed within a compact body weighing approximately 883g※2, making it the lightest in its series. This mirrorless digital camera allows you to easily enjoy an extraordinary level of image quality.

FUJIFILM Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO, Representative Director: Teiichi Goto) announces the FUJIFILM X-T50 mirrorless digital camera (“X-T50”), the latest model in the X series that delivers outstanding image quality with unique color reproduction technology in a compact, lightweight body. It will be release in the middle of June, 2024.

The X-T50 is a compact and lightweight body weighing approximately 438g ※1 , and features the back-illuminated 40.2 megapixel “X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR” sensor, the high-speed image processing engine “X-Processor 5※2, and a 5-axis, up to 7.0-stop※3 in-body image stabilization function. It is a versatile model that achieves high image quality, high performance and high mobility. Combined with the new standard zoom lens “FUJINON XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR” announced today, it can be used for still image shooting in all situations.

In addition, for the first time, Film Simulation dial is incorporated on the top plate allowing a user to easily switch between “Film Simulations”, a key feature unique to the company that enables a wide variety of color tones. The X-T50 also incorporates a new round shaped design that achieves both high holding performance and compact size.

The X-T50 is a digital camera that combines the ease of shooting with a compact and lightweight body and a Film Simulation dial, and outstanding features that deliver exceptional image quality, providing the joy of photography even more.
