Xperia Z Ultra QX10 QX100 caseSony’s QX10 and QX100 lens-style cameras appealed to many given their versatility, they could be used with pretty much all Android handsets and iPhones too. However, one issue that Xperia Z Ultra owners found is that the mount that came with the device did not fit the handset. This meant the QX cameras could only be used remotely and not mounted directly onto the Xperia Z Ultra.

Sony plans to make amends for this and will launch a camera attachment case for the Xperia Z Ultra (SPA-ACX3) in January. This case is similar to the one for the Xperia Z (SPA-ACX1) and Xperia Z1(SPA-ACX2). The custom hard case will allow Xperia Z Ultra owners to easily mount a QX10 or QX100 lens-style camera and will come in black and white colours. The accessory has only been announced for Hong Kong right now for HK$238 (£19, €22, $31), we couldn’t find it listed anywhere else. Hopefully other regions will follow suit early in the New Year.
