Meizu is really in a good place at the moment. The Chinese manufacturer is selling its Meizu MX4 devices like hotcakes, however it’s having problems meeting demand and some shipments will be delayed to certain customers. These are problems that basically every manufacturer will gladly face, that only means they are selling tons of their devices. Meizu is doing so well that one of their main competitors in China, Xiaomi, is planning to release a lower-cost Xiaomi Mi4 in order to compete with the Meizu MX4. On the other hand, we’ve seen reports that Meizu intends on releasing 3 new devices until the end of this year out of which at least two should sport 64-bit processors. Meizu MX4 Pro has been rumored for a long time now and recently we often hear the name “Meizu MX4 Mini“, which should be a smaller and somewhat more affordable version of the Meizu MX4 device.

Talking about the Meizu MX4 Mini, we have some new information about that device. Chinese social network Weibo is usually a good source of information when it comes to Chinese phones, this time is no exception. The phone shown off in a featured image is allegedly a Meizu MX4 Mini. There are two interesting things about that image and the images down below, first, it seems like this is a dual SIM device considering it is showing 2 network signals on the screen. The other interesting thing is the fact this device seems to be running YunOS, which is Alibaba’s latest Android ROM. Meizu has invested money in this phone maker and it makes sense Meizu devices might use it, to some extent at least. YunOS actually doesn’t pack any Google services, they are replaced with Alibaba alternatives, so that seems a bit odd. Meizu MX4 Mini is expected to sport MediaTek’s 64-bit quad-core processor and launch rather soon.

I guess we’ll have to wait for this thing to launch in order to see what’s what, YunOS seems like an odd choice by Meizu for obvious reasons. Either way, we should see Meizu MX4 Pro and Meizu MX4 Mini launched in the coming weeks / months and then we’ll see what Meizu has up its sleeve.
