Major roads closed for Glasgow 2014 cycling time trials

Major road closures have been made in and around Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games cycling time trial.
The 40km route - 30km for women - began and ended in Glasgow, and took in North Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire
The women's race was won by New Zealand's Linda Villumsen. England's Emma Pooley took silver and Katrin Garfoot of Australia won bronze.
England's Alex Dowsett won gold in the men's event followed by Australia's Rohan Dennis and Wales' Geraint Thomas.
Scotland's David Millar, the defending champion, was eighth.
In the women's race, Scotland's Katie Archibald and Lucy Coldwell came fifth and eighth respectively.
Phased reopening
The single loop course covered a large part of North Lanarkshire and cut across East Dunbartonshire back towards Glasgow via the city's east end.
A large number of road closures across these three local authority areas were brought in from Thursday morning.
Competitors were watched by large crowds in Glasgow
East Dunbartonshire hoped to bring in a phased reopening of roads from 15:30 onwards subject to police approval.
North Lanarkshire said it would begin re-opening roads as soon as police had given the all clear.
Meanwhile, Games organiser Glasgow 2014 said more than 140,000 spectators were expected at seven venues on Thursday - six in Glasgow and the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.
All four Glasgow Live Zones, featuring entertainment and cultural events, were also expected to be very busy.
