Chris Brown’s pleas on social media have finally been answered: The R&B singer was allowed to leave the Philippines late on Friday, local time, after being grounded there for three days as a result of a fraud complaint.

Elaine Tan, a spokeswoman for the Immigration Bureau in Manila, told The Associated Press that Mr. Brown secured an emigration clearance certificate on Friday that said he had no legal obligations at this time and was free to leave.

“Manila, it was fun, love y’all, man,” Mr. Brown said in a video posted to his Twitter. “Party tonight!” he added.

The singer had been stranded in the Philippines following a concert on Tuesday, after claims by Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ), a religious sect that said Mr. Brown failed to show at a New Year’s Eve concert sponsored by the group, for which he had already been paid.

In since-deleted Twitter messages on Friday, Mr. Brown said, “I have nothing to do with anything going on right now. I came back to Manila to do a make-up show for New Years. I did the show three days ago.” He added, “This is a very serious situation and someone needs to be held accountable for mixing my name up in all this. I’ve done nothing wrong.”

Earlier, he had appealed more lightheartedly to the powers that be: In a video captioned “OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” Mr. Brown said from his knees, “Please, please, let us leave, please, please.” He then did a back flip.

The singer has scheduled appearances in Israel and Cyprus next week before a tour of the United States in August and September. But his ordeal in the Philippines is not quite over: Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said charges could still be filed in the fraud case. “What is important at this point is for him to know that there are criminal proceedings against him at the preliminary investigation level,” she said, according to The A.P.
