Ahmad Koya, who graduates this month with a degree in environmental engineering, will spend the summer in Jordan and Singapore before returning to Stanford to complete his coterminal degree. He aims to help improve water systems and uplift communities around the world. "Having concrete examples and experiences of what people are going through," he says, "just adds more reasons for me to be on this path.”

Benjamin Zaidel, who graduates in June with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, grew up influenced by two cultures. In his time at Stanford, he says, he has learned to balance goals with joy – “to lead a life of high impact, while knowing that the priority is always being well and loving one another.”
