1981 was a troubled year at first for Eddie, in late '81 Eddie O.D. after sniffing laundry deterergent he mistook for cocaine. Eddie recovered and tried putting his party life behind him. Mid '82 brought us his 4th album the CLASSIC "No Control" #20, this album rocked from the get go and the band was in fine form here after the lackluster "Playing For Keeps". The rockers included, "Shakin'", #63 hot 100, #9 mainstream rock, The title track which hit #60 mainstream rock, "Take A Little Bit", "Keep My Motor Running", the pulsive "Drivin' Me Crazy", and the real charmer was the big hit "Think I'm In Love", #16 hot 100 and #1 mainstream rock, still a classic 29 years on. The reflective tunes are "Hard Life", "My Friends, My Friends" and his tune he wrote for his good friend John Belushi ""Passing By The Graveyard". Jimmy Lyons plays great guitar on this album. This would be Eddie's best album (MHO) he has ever released. It only took less than a year, before he rushed released "Where's The Party?". Get the Rock Candy release, excellent sound and nice 12 page booklet.
Me and my brother grew up Irish and one of our fav's was none other than Eddie Money. "No Control" was one of my favorite albums-period! I wore my copy completely out that I reordered another copy. Between such songs as,"Shakin" to "Think I'm In Love " to "No Control," it still holds up today, especially if ya love "The Money Man!" It was in great shape and packaged perfectly.
