Samurai Prince William escapes wig ordeal

Prince William was transformed into a samurai warlord, but escaped the ordeal of wearing a wig, as he visited Japan's public broadcaster NHK.

It fell to Britain's ambassador to Japan, Tim Hitchens, to don a headpiece as he joined accompanied the prince on the set of historical drama Taiga.

Later he travelled to Fukushima to meet some of the people affected by the earthquake and tsunami four years ago.

Peter Hunt reports.
