Xiaomi has been really active lately as far as announcing new hardware goes. The company has announced a lot of devices thus far this year, and they’ve also celebrated the company’s fifth anniversary quite recently. As part of the celebrations, Xiaomi has announced all sorts of new smartphones and other gadgets and has also offered all kinds of discounts on their devices. This China-based company has surprised everyone and sold 2.1 million devices in a single day, they actually managed to set a new Guinness World Record by doing that.

That being said, Xiaomi has no intention to stop now. This company has recently announced that their Mi Note Pro flagship will go on sale on May 6th, and we’ve seen quite a few Xiaomi-branded smartphones leak recently. Xiaomi’s alleged Redmi Note 2 handsets has leaked recently, and same can be said about the Xiaomi Mi 4i aka ‘Ferrari’ handset we’ve seen mentioned quite a few times thus far. Speaking of Xiaomi Mi 4i, we have some new info to share with you. An interesting leak popped up in China which allegedly shows us this device.

If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll notice that this handset has really thin bezels. It does resemble the Mi 4 in general shape, but that’s it. This handset looks different through and through, they do have the logo at the same place, but the sensors and the front-facing camera are positioned differently here. If this leak is legit, the Mi 4i won’t exactly be identical to the Xiaomi Mi 4 as everyone initially assumed. It is rumored that this handset will launch soon in India, we still don’t know if it will make it to other markets, but it will initially launch in India according to the info we have at the moment.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i will reportedly feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz which ships with an Adreno 405 GPU. The 13-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this device along with an LED flash, and you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel snapper up front. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop will allegedly come pre-installed on this device with Xiaomi’s MIUI OS on top of Google’s OS. It is rumored that this device will launch on April 23 in India, stay tuned.
