Google to consider requests to delete links to personal data

Google says it is establishing a service that will enable Europeans to ask for online links relating to their personal life to be removed from search results.

The world's biggest internet search engine is expecting a barrage of requests after the European Court of Justice ruled that links to outdated or irrelevant data should be erased on request.

Critics call it an alarming extension of online censorship.
