Man shot in 'targeted attack' in Warbreck Moor, Liverpool

A man has been shot in a "targeted attack" in Liverpool, police have said.

Officers said a 41-year-old man was shot in the shoulder after a group of men forced their way into a house on Wyresdale Road in Warbreck Moor in the early hours.

He was taken to hospital where he is being treated.

The investigation is in its early stages, but detectives believe the attack was targeted and have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
