Drake Debuts Short Film 'Jungle'

  /  02.12.2015

It’s Drizzy season. On the six-year anniversary of his breakout mixtape So Far Gone, Drake unexpectedly drops a short film entitled “Jungle.” The dark 15-minute visuals were shot throughout Toronto and L.A. and feature throwback footage of a young Drizzy and some words of wisdom from October’s Very Own.

“The whole energy out here is just changing. It’s just getting dark, man, quick,” says Drake as he rides in the back of a chauffeured Rolls-Royce. “I’m fucking drinking more, I’m smoking more. We’re out here staying up so late that it’s early. I’m just more worried about myself. I just gotta come home.”

At the 13:38 mark, the radio DJ can be heard announcing a track from a new mixtape.

At the end, he also teases a snippet of new music. “These days, I’m letting God handle all things above me / The things that I can’t change are the reasons you love me,” he sings.

Is Drake’s long-rumored mixtape about to drop? All signs point to yes.
