We are beyond excited to announce that Vybe delivery and fullfilment has begun!

Our backers have been the ground floor supporters of something amazing.  You helped us take Vybe from an idea, to an amazing functional product.

We have attached pictures of the fulfillment and assembly at our factory for an exclusive look at our progress.

We cannot thank you enough for your support in this endeavor. Because of your patience we have been able to make Vybe a reality with more features than we ever thought possible.

It is our personal mission to get Vybe under your tree for Christmas. The timeline is tight, but we are confident that everyone in the USA will have their Vybe order by Christmas Eve Day. We are working for the same results for our international backers but due to the time of year, these orders may not arrive until shortly after Christmas.

Because of the high volume of orders we have to fulfill, we cannot offer tracking at this time. Your orders will be tracked internally, but we currently do not have a system to send tracking to our 5000+ customers.

Vybe ships December 12th!

Dear Backers,

We are excited to report that we have a firm date that Vybe will be shipping. We will be shipping all orders out on December 12th of this year.

We have encountered many ups and downs throughout recent months, but our dedication, hard work and perseverance has prevailed.

Production of the tooling (band, clasp and capsule molds) for the Vybe has begun with an expedited lead time of 2-3 weeks for tooling completion. The Vybe PCB and board assembly will take 4 weeks from today, making the total time for Vybe assembly around December the 5th. Shipping will begin on December the 12th with our warehouse shipping to all backers before the holidays.

FInal Band update:

Since our last update we have been able to make the band even sleeker and more stylish. Even through the tough delays, we spent some extra time tweaking Vybe and spending every spare minute perfecting the look of the Vybe band. With the newly tweaked band design we were able to shave off 4mm in height to give a truly streamlined look.

Vybe App Update:

Our iOS and Android app have been updated to include the top 12 social media apps already integrated. We also added toggle functionality for the out-of-range feature. The Vybe app will also be able to accommodate 5 additional apps of your liking. The apps will launch in their respective app stores on December 12th so you will be able to download it and play with the app a few days before your Vybe arrives in the mail.

September Vybe Update

Dear Backers,

In the past, we have struggled to provide you with an accurate shipping date. Regretfully, we will not be shipping this September. However, we do have some great news: We have secured an investment that will allow us to place our initial batch order of Vybes. The investment will allow us to manufacture the tooling and the first production run of 3000 units, which will fulfill all of our preorders and give us stock for future orders. With the order on the verge of being placed, we have been able to come up with an accurate shipping timeframe which will get ALL current orders out before the 2014 holidays. More specifically, based on our manufacturing and lead times below, we expect to ship the second week of November. We truly apologize for the delays and thank you for your patience throughout the year. It’s been a tough race, but we are nearing the finish line.

Our Vybe prototypes have been thoroughly tested for quality, durability, and usability – they have passed with flying colors. With the hardware, software, and firmware in a ship-ready state, we are in the final stages – mass production. Production of the tooling (band, clasp, and capsule molds) for the Vybe will begin 1 week from today with an expedited lead time of 3-4 weeks for tooling completion. August Vybe Update

Dear Backers,
As August comes to a close we wanted to provide you with another update about the progress of Vybe.
We received an unbelievable amount of support from our backers after we posted our last blog post explaining the true reason why we have been delayed.
Taking into consideration the crowdfunding market for technology products, there are plenty of examples of products that have taken several years to complete and ship. We’re not trying to make excuses, but Vybe is still well under the average time period, and we have been working non-stop to ship Vybe. We wanted to have Vybe on the market months ago, but unfortunate circumstances have prevented that.
Vybe is currently closing in on seed level funding from multiple investors who are all committed to the full global commercialization of Vybe.  This funding will compensate for the capital that has been stolen from us by our previous engineers (including a considerable amount from our own pockets), and will allow us to deliver these units to our backers and retailers around the world.  Our firmware debugging is complete, and our initial batch order of 10,000 Vybe’s will be placed as soon as we finalize our negotiations with investors.
We are still holding on to hope that we will be able to ship our units by the end of September, however in the case that an agreement with investors cannot be reached in time, we may be pushed back to a later date.
Nobody wants Vybe to ship more than we do.  Please stay tuned for our next update and once we finish negotiations and finalize our pending investment we can give you an exact timeline.

If you’ve stuck with us this long, then that means in some way or another, you believe in us. It’s people like you that are allowing us to make Vybe a reality. If you can just stick with us until we ship, your support as an original backer will never be forgotten. However, if you’d like to get a refund, we’ll gladly give it. Dear Backers,

First off, we really wanted to thank all of the supportive emails we have received from backers. It has shown that even with countless delays and many months of issues and missed promises, the majority of support from backers has been very positive.

We understand that supporting a crowd-funding campaign is not always predictable, and our Vybe Team has tried to be as transparent as possible through this process. We are currently making great headway with Vybe but the project has proven to be much more complex than initially thought. That being said, we have taken every step to bring all of our backers the best product possible.

In the last several months we have been able to improve Vybe incredibly since the initial crowd-funding campaign was launched November 2013. Just to recap, Vybe now has a powerful application for both iOS and Android with an incredible feature set that was never even planned for. We have taken the time to create a product that you will use everyday and be excited to tell your friends about. It had never crossed our mind to ship an inferior product and have our 2000+ backers disappointed with our execution and creation of Vybe.

Firmware Code

Over the past month we have been designing and customizing our firmware code to work flawlessly with Vybe. For many who aren’t tech savvy, firmware is code that is permanently stored on the device and speaks to the hardware (Vybe) and the software (App) and makes everything run flawlessly. It has been an intense process that has our engineers working diligently on. Because firmware is so important, and can’t be updated once shipped, we simply cannot ship until it’s perfect. For us, quality is a number one priority and from the responses of many emails, it’s our backers priority as well.

Vybe’s Smaller Size

During our design and testing phases we were able to eliminate a few unnecessary parts on the Vybe module. In doing so, Vybe became much smaller (almost half the size) and would be able to fit into a much smaller capsule and band. We weren’t completely happy with the size of the band that we had prototyped and after much deliberation, we decided to make everything sleeker and smaller. We had referenced this design change in our last post and we received a lot of positive feedback for making the choice to go smaller. Unfortunately this has caused us to have to redesign placement of components on the board, and redo all of our Mechanical Drawing and CAD files for production.

Due to the firmware code being completed and redesigned we have been forced to push our delivery date. We hope that all of our backers will continue to support us as we work incredibly hard to bring an amazing and affordable device to market.

We took a video of the current Vybe prototype in action. It shows the chip vibrate when receiving a call, a text, and when the alarm goes off. We hope you enjoy the update!

We project that module completion, firmware coding, and debugging will take 6 weeks. We are able to start production once the module has be completed and will move to production soon after and will take approximately 8 weeks. This pushes our shipping date to the second week of September. We understand that this will be coming up on 1 year since many backers pre-ordered and how this can be frustrating. We wanted to give all of you a bit of a comparison by referencing “Tile” http://www.thetileapp.com who raised 2.6 million dollars on Kickstarter and another 10 million in pre-sales almost 1 year ago and just started shipping this past weekend. Technology products are very tough to bring to market and we are working very hard to bring Vybe to you as quickly as possible.

We hope that this post has reassured most of you of our good intentions, and that you will let us bring you a great product at a great price.

30 Day Battery, Water-resistant, Full App Integration & Finished Module.

We are back with some more great news about Vybe. It’s been a long road with some ups and downs but everything is looking great right now for Vybe.

Our Engineering team was able to create a much smaller module than expected, which in turn, will make Vybe sleeker and smaller. They were also able to add a battery with an amazing lifespan. Vybe will be able to last for 3600 one-second vibrations. This means that if you have an average of 100 notifications going to your Vybe per day, your Vybe won’t need to be charged for 36 days! If you have less notifications per day, the battery will last even longer.

We were also able to enhance the water-resistance so that Vybe can be safely showered with. We have done this by designing a fully sealed capsule with a water-resistant micro usb charging port.

We are really excited about this next feature. Vybe will be able to communicate with any app that receives push notifications! This means that ANY app can be used with Vybe. As long as push notifications are enabled for the app you want to use with Vybe, it will popup in the Vybe App menu and allow you to customize which notifications it pushes.

We have had some delays with debugging firmware and are hoping to ship by the 31st of May but the date might trickle over into June. Our team beleives that our delays in shipping have been for the best as we try to bring you an exceptional product. Bear with us through another month, and we will have your Vybe shipped soon.

On Schedule for May Shipping

We just wanted to let everyone know that we are on schedule for May shipping. There have been no more delays this far and the final product is impressive. We have made everything sleeker and more powerful. Our battery is projected to last 7 to 10 days depending on usage.

Dear Backers,

We have some news and Vybe will now be shipping in May. Due to some unfortunate delays that were ultimately aimed at perfecting our product, we have had to push the date another 8 weeks.

We have had a lot of support from backers along the way, and are still very excited for all of you to finally see Vybe.

Some big news is that our new website is launched with updated pictures of Vybe which will now be selling for $49.00.
