It was another less-than-stellar week on the Billboard 200, at least for rap releases. Jamie Foxx managed to sneak into the top ten with his new LP, Hollywood: A Story of A Dozen, but for the most part we saw the big releases continuing their slow descent into top 30-40 territory. Slowly but surely, Drake and J. Cole are still in a tight race toward platinum status, with IYRTITL just barely edging out 2014FHD. Unfortunately, Snoop's album fell considerably following his modest debut, as his streaming numbers haven't been matching his traditional sales.

1) Various Artists— Furious 7: As pretty much all the rap releases slide down the chart, this OST holds the top spot at number 9, falling from 5. It moves 7,276 copies, 36,155 including streams.
2) Jamie Foxx— Hollywood: A Story of A Dozen: Foxx comes in with the biggest debut, just cracking the top ten. Most of his sales came traditionally, moving 31,163 copies and 35,631 with streams.
3) Drake—If You're Reading This It's Too Late: Drake falls 15 to 19, with 11,244 in sales (26, 816 with streams). We may see a slight boost next week as the rapper makes his way through the Jungle tour. He's slowing making is way to platinum status, edging out Cole with 919,831 total sales.
4) Nicki Minaj—The Pinkprint: Following the release of the "Feelin' Myself" and "The Night Is Still Young" videos, Nicki's album rises from 23 to 21. She's at 619,896 total sales, with 5,466 sold this week (24, 273 including streams).
5) Kendrick Lamar—To Pimp A Butterfly: K-Dot falls from 27 to 34, moving 9,837 units (15,560 with streams). The impending release of his "Alright" video could give the album a boost in the coming weeks. For now it's at 585,014 total sales.
6) J. Cole—Forest Hills Drive: Cole has been hovering around the edge of the top 40 recently, and he's still right on Drake's heels on the race to platinum, adding 6,334 sales (12,949 with streams) to his tally, putting him at 911,837.
7) Big Sean—Dark Sky Paradise: Sean falls 10 spots to 43, managing to sell 3,402 copies of DSP (12,348 with streams). He's at 275,983 total.
8) Snoop Dogg— BUSH: Snoop takes a major fall in his second week moving from 14 to 44. He sold a decent amount traditionally (9,693) but his tally with streams (12,319) didn't match that of his younger competitors.
The Hot 100 got a brand new number one this week, and while it's never a surprise when Taylor Swift tears into the top spot, we're glad she brought Kendrick Lamar along with her this time, giving him his very first number one. "Bad Blood" jumped from 51 to the top spot, after smashing VEVO's record for most video streams in a day (Nicki's "Anaconda" previously held the record, though her video only got her a number 2 chart placement). Speaking of Nicki, her David Guetta collaboration, "Hey Mama" has invaded the top ten at number 8, while the equally EDM-infused "Night Is Still Young" rises from 66 to 51, and "Feelin Myself" rips back onto the charts at 39. Meanwhile, "Truffle Butter" is still floating at 55. Are we looking at a Minaj chart takeover this summer?
