✔️ Navik (Domestic Branch): Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is ₹ 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.
✔️ Yantrik: Basic pay ₹ 29200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, you will be paid Yantrik pay @ ₹ 6200/- plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Eligibility Criteria:

✔️ Navik (General Duty): 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Indian Coast Guard Navik Medical Standards:

✔️ Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.
✔️ Height: Minimum height is 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.

✔️ Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
✔️ Weight: Proportionate to height and age +10 percentage acceptable.
✔️ Hearing: Normal.
✔️ Visual Standard: 6/36 (Better Eye) and 6/36 (Worse Eye).
✔️ Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Selection Process:

✔️ Stage I: Computer Based Online Examination.
✔️ Stage II: Assessment/ Adaptability Test, Physical Fitness Test, Documents Verification, Initial Medicals Examination.
✔️ Stage III: Documents Verification, Final Medicals at INS Chilka.
✔️ Stage IV: The candidates undergoing training at INS Chilka are to submit all original documents during Stage-III and verification of all original documents through Boards/ Universities/ State government will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 Examination Fee:

✔️ ₹ 300/- for General / OBC category candidates.

Navik (Steward)

They would be required to serve food in the officer’s messes as waiters, housekeeping, maintenance and accounting of funds, wine and stores handling, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 22 years as on 1st April 2020. i.e. born between 01 April 1998 to 31 March 2002, both dates are inclusive. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

Pay and Allowances: Starting Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is ₹ 21700/- (Pay Level-3), plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the regulation enforced time to time.

(d) Those who qualify written examination will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary). The testing procedure will take 2-3 days. Physically Challenged candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.
(e) Physical Fitness Test (PFT): PFT will be conducted for all those who qualify the written tests. All candidates are advised to be in possession of sport rig (Shoe, T-shirt, Trouser etc). The PFT will consist of:- (i) 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes. (ii) ¾ 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak). (iii) 10 Push up. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
(f) Candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will only be required to undergo initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment Centres or any other place as decided by the Indian Coast Guard.
(g) Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination in a ratio as may be decided by the Indian Coast Guard. Mere declaration of fit in initial medical examination does not indicate selection of the candidate for the final medical at INS Chilka.
(h) The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending upon the available vacancies. Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/2015 Batch Recruitment for Diploma Holders

Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence) invites applications from unmarried male Indian Citizens for recruitment of Yantrik - 02/2015 Batch in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. The last date for submission of online applications is 9th March 2015.

18 to 22 Years (i.e. between 01 Aug 1993 to 31 Jul 1997). Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

Rs. 5200-20200 along with Rs 2400 Grade pay

Educational Qualifications: Matriculation and three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronic Engg. with 60% in aggregate from Board/Institute recognised by Board of Central/State Government. (5% Relaxation for SC/ ST candidates)

Selection Process: Selection based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, interview, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examination. The 'Online' Applications will be sorted out centre wise. The conduct of test is planned during Mar/Apr 2015. Selection procedure is as follows:-

(a) Short-listing criteria for applications will be based on higher percentage of marks in the diploma for a particular examination centre. SC and ST candidates will be given due weightage while short listing.
(b) The qualifying cut off percentage of a particular centre may be increased if more number of applications with higher percentage will received.
(c) The written tests will be objective type. The questions paper will contain questions from their respective branch (Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication.
(d) Those who qualify written tests will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT), interview and initial Medical Examination. The testing procedure will take 1-2 days.
(e) The Physical Fitness Test will be conducted for all those who pass the written tests. Qualifying PFT as per the standards given below is compulsory. The PFT will consist as under:- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak), 10 Push ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
(f) Candidates those who qualify the Physical Fitness Test will be required to undergo initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment centre.
(g) Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination in a ratio as may be decided by Coast Guard.
(h) The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending upon the available vacancies. The All India select list of candidates will be displayed in the Indian Coast Guard Website in the month of Jul 2015.

Medical Standards:

(a) Height - Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
(b) Chest - Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
(c) Weight - Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable. Hearing - normal
(d) Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.
(e) Good mental, medical and physical health, free from any disease/disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties.
(f) No Cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.
(g) Visual Standards. 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively. Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from teeth prior to examination.

Indian Coast Guard 10+2 Entry 02/2015 Batch Apply Online

Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence) invites applications from Unmarried Male Indian Nationals for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) 10+2 Entry - 02/2015 Batch in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. Online Registration start from 2nd February and end on 10th February 2015.

Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years i.e between 01 Aug 1993 to 31 Jul 1997. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Matriculation with 12th Class) passed with 60% marks aggregate in total and minimum 60% in each subject of Maths and Physics from an education board recognised by Central/State Government. (Maximum 5% relaxation only in aggregate marks of the above percentage for SC/ ST candidates, sports person of National level (Interstate and above) and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.)

Medical Standards:

Educational Qualifications:

Store Keeper -> Degree with Three years experience in handling stores and keeping accounts in a store of a Govt Department or Public Sector Undertaking.

Civilian Motor Transport Driver -> 10th Standard pass. Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles. Should have atleast two years experience in driving motor vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).

Engine Driver -> Matriculation or equivalent. Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognised Government Institute or equivalent. Desirable - Two years service as Sarang on a vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse Power.

Sarang Lascar -> Matriculation or equivalent. Certificate of competency as Sarang from a Government recognised institute or equivalent. Desirable - Two years experience as Sarang in-charge of a vessels of twenty Horse Power.

Rigger / ICE Fitter (Skilled) / Electrical Fitter (Skilled) / Ship Fitter (Skilled) / Machinist (Skilled) / Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled) -> Should have successfully completed apprenticeship from a recognised / reputed workshop in the relevant trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or under any other recognised Apprenticeship Scheme. (OR) Should have completed training course in the relevant trade from an ITI recognised for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. (OR) 4 years experience in the trade for which no training is available in the Industrial TrainingInstitute or other recognised institutions. Should qualify a trade entrance examination. Essential - Matriculation or Equivalent.

Fireman -> Matriculation pass from a recognised Board or equivalent. Should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.

Fire Engine Driver -> Matriculation pass from a recognized board or equivalent. Possessing heavy vehicle driving license with three years experience of driving heavy vehicles in any of private or Government Organistaion /Institute.

MTS -> Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognised boards or ITI from recognised institutes. Three years experience in the trade.

Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Test / Interview / Trade Test (Practical's).

Multi Tasking Staff -> Objective type questions on General Awareness, English, Maths and relevant trade. Maximum marks for written test is 50 (one hour duration), interview is 25 and trade test (practicals in relevant trade) is 25. Total marks 100.

Other than MTS Posts ->  Objective type questions in subjects related to the relevant trade including General Awareness and Maths. Written test / interview / trade test (practicals where stipulated).
