Government of Meghalaya, Home (Police) Department invites applications from Eligible Indian Candidates and who are domiciled in the State of Meghalaya for filling up the following posts in Armed Branch for the Special Forces-10 (SF-10).

Age Relaxation: 18 to 27 Years for Followers Posts; 18 to 21 Years for other posts. Age Relaxation Five (05) Years for SC/ST.
Educational Qualifications:
Commandos / constables -> 10th Passed
Mechanics -> 10th Passed with experience as mechanic in automobile.
Driver -> 9th Class passed with valid HMV / LMV driving licence issued by a competent authority.
Signal / Communication Staff -> 12th Passed
Followers -> 5th Std (Class V) Passed.
Physical Standards:
Height -> Male (ST including Other tribes of Meghalaya) - 162 Cm, Male (Others) - 167 Cm, Female (ST including Other tribes of Meghalaya) - 157 Cm.
Selection Process: Physical Efficiency Tests, Written Examination, Medical Test, Interview.
Physical Efficiency Test –> 10 KM race for male candidates will have to be completed within 50 minutes and 5.5 KM race for female candidates will have to be completed within 35 minutes.

Office of The Additional General Of Police: (TRG/AP) and Chairman Central Recruitment Board Meghalaya, Shillong invites prescribed application format from Meghalaya state candidates (both male and female) to fill up 120 vacancies in the Armed Branch Sub-Inspector of Police (ABSI) for the Special Forces-10 (SF-10). The last date for receipt of applications is 1st April 2014.

Age Relaxation: 5 Years in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree (UG) in any discipline from a recognized University.
Physical Standards: Height -> Male - 162 Cms for SC/ST, 167 Cms for others; Female - 157 Cms for SC/ST, 160 Cms for others.
Medical Standards: The candidates should be of sound health, free from defect/deformity/disease. Both eyes should have a vision 6/12 (without glasses) and no colour blindness. No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.
Selection Process: Physical Efficiency Test - 200 Marks, Written Examination - 200 Marks, Interview - 50 Marks
Physical Efficiency Test –> 10 KM race for male candidates will have to be completed within 55 minutes and 5.5 KM race for female candidates will have to be completed within 34 minutes
Written Tests -> Only those candidates, who qualify in the physical tests, will be allowed to appear in the written/subsequent tests as follows:-

Personal Interview -> The Central Selection Board shall decide the number of candidates to be called for interview based on the total number of vacancies. Candidates who have qualified in the written tests will be required to attend the interviews which will be intimated in due course.
