DJ Premier has co-signed singer/songwriter Torii Wolf quite heavily, and he keeps the support going with a recent remix of Torii's "1st," itself a record DJ Premier cooked up. The original found Premier digging up a Dilated Peoples sample in between his signature scratches. Compare the original (here) to his remixed version in the visual up top, and let us know which version you prefer.
"Making the video felt natural, like family," Torii tells us getting a visual together for Prem's remix. "Being in there with Ev and Rakaa, I feel so grateful to have experienced our vibes together in one space."
Torii Wolf's upcoming album, Flow Riiot, is entirely produced by the legendary DJ-- making her the first female to have a complete album produced by Preemo, if you can believe it. Stay tuned.
