Counting has begun in the election of a new South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

The vacancy follows the resignation of Shaun Wright amid the child sexual exploitation scandal in Rotherham where he once headed children's services.

Voters went to the polls on Thursday with four candidates standing.

They are: David Allen, English Democrats; Alan Billings, Labour Party; Ian Walker, Conservative Party and Jack Clarkson, UK Independence Party.
