First Pegida rally in Britain to take place in Newcastle

Northumbria Police has said its officers will be out in force in Newcastle on Saturday as a rally by a group opposed to what they call the "Islamisation of Europe" is due to be held.

Thousands have attended protests organised by Pegida in Germany and other European countries but this is its first in Britain.
