Former Falkirk MP Eric Joyce is to stand trial accused of attacking two teenagers and causing £200 worth of damage to groceries in a London shop.

The 54-year-old ex-Labour MP is accused of scuffling with two boys aged 14 and 15 during the confrontation in Camden on 17 October, 2014.

Joyce was not present at Westminster Magistrates' Court, but denies two counts of actual bodily harm and one of causing criminal damage.

He will appear on 1 May for trial.

Mr Joyce formerly represented Falkirk as a Labour member and later as an independent, but announced in 2012 that he would not seek re-election in May.
