Just installed the update with the LGMobile Support Tool (just google it. I can't post links). It might say you are up to date. But goto >Options >Flash Recovery. That will update you to version D85120b.

Running 5.0.1

wifi calling and VoLTE both working

Go to Options > Upgrade Recovery. Then it will update to 20b

I do that and I get a message that says "Check out your model and serial number"... No help from Google on that cryptic error message.

Doug

When you downloaded the Support Tool did you select all the right choices for the device before downloading it? I had to go thru a selection screen for my device before downloading it.

Yes, I have the latest USB drivers. It's really odd that it won't work :-( I guess I'll have to wait for OTA

so...are ya'll sure that this is lollipop? because i double checked and the lg website is saying that the version i already have is the latest. for those of you having trouble, make sure of that. on your phones open up the apps menu, open settings, scroll down to about phone, and then check software version.

I keep getting the same results myself. My guess is it might have something to do with the fact I'm running a tech preview of Windows 10.

I was getting the same issue initially, i finally restarted my comp and its running now. The tool wouldn't update my driver on its own so I downloaded it from the LG website directly. Its currently in the process of the "update recovery".

Not sure why its working for some people and not others. Took me a little trial and error before my phone was fully recognized by the Support Tool. Kept saying connecting. It wasn't till I tapped on the Media Device MTP notification when plugged in that the tool kicked in and started doing its thing. It was already on the right setting but it did something that caused the tool to connect for the update.

Now that I can post links. You might find something helpful over at this thread on XDA. This is where I first caught wind of using the Support Tool.
