The small boy wasn't Stevie. Whoever Stevie was. He was as small, and as angry — the soldier could see it twitching under his skin like muscle spasms — but his hair was black and his skin tan. Nothing like Stevie's pale Irish complexion and blonde hair.
“Shit,” the boy said again. “You just took them out. With three punches. Fuck.”
The last person the soldier spoke to had been Captain America. Steve.
And he might have been a brain damaged amnesiac assassin but even he could figure out that Steve and Stevie were probably that same person.

Then Bucky fell off the train and became the Winter Soldier.
