A Boosie Badazz-hosted event called the Black & White Affair was supposed to take place today, but after over a decade of annual celebrations, the Baton Rouge government has decided to put a stop to the event.

"We were informed that the powers that be from City Government (including the Mayor) have CANCELLED our Black & White event scheduled at the River Center this Saturday. Our legal team is diligently working on this matter," T.J. Jackson, an organizer of the party wrote on Instagram.

According to Jackson, after speaking with city officials, it was pointed out that Boosie was thought of as a danger.

"They did mention that there are some concerns because of Boosie,” he explained. “They said they think it might be a threat of danger of violence, and they don’t want that to split open to downtown."

Jackson defended the rapper. "He loves Baton Rouge dearly," he argued, "but that’s why he moved from here, so he wouldn’t have to deal with this type of scrutiny and judgment."

Here's hoping they can get things together next year. Check out the Instagram post below.
