Starting this Spring, Nepal to make carrying electronic chips mandatory for Everest climbers
Nepal will require climbers to carry electronic rescue chips during the Mount Everest climbing season. The chips, provided by the government for a fee, will be fitted in the climber's jacket. The measure aims to improve safety and aid in emergency rescue operations on the mountain.
