Tobi Aji won Heatseekers two weeks ago, and we're pleased to premiere his latest track: "King of Pop." Though the track is indeed a tribute to MJ, it hardly sounds poppy, as Tobi brings hard-nosed bars followed by pain-driven singing on the hook.
In Tobi's own words: "'King of Pop' is not only a tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of all time, but also to my personal musical influence. It is a story about how public image is not entirely reflective of one's private life. He was considered the King of Pop to people all over the world but still dealt with his own inner struggles like we all do."
"King of Pop" will appear on Tobi's upcoming EP The Art of Resilience.
