Alan Barnes: Disabled mugging victim appeal fund rises

A fund to help a 67-year-old disabled man who was mugged outside his home in Gateshead has raised more than £150,000.

Alan Barnes broke his collarbone when his attacker pushed him over, leaving him afraid to return home.

Katie Cutler, a local beautician, who launched the appeal, says she cannot believe just how generous people have been.
