Why is my Moto 360 display sometimes dim?

There are a few possible reasons why the display may be dim:

1. Before the screen times out it will dim for 2 seconds
    
2. In ambient mode the screen will remain dim until interacted with
    
3. There is an ambient light sensor, in a dark room the screen should dim to a more appropriate brightness as long as the brightness setting is set to Auto.

Tip: Ensure the light sensor is not covered
